Based on much research and collaboration with user and partner communities, the upcoming Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) October features release focuses on user interface improvements, enhanced document management capabilities, and new support for Infor’s Process Intelligence tool within CSI. The latest release underscores Infor’s ongoing commitment to the company’s flagship cloud offering.
Updated Forms for More Functionality
More than 100 newly updated forms give the software a modern look and feel and help streamline key business process flows. These Gen2 forms cover a wide range of functional areas, including:
- Order management
- Customer service
- Inventory
- Procurement
- Planning
- Field service
- Financials
- Production
The new forms were created using a templated format to achieve consistency throughout the system, but still allow end users to tailor and refine forms to meet their unique needs. Users in key business roles will benefit from improved Home forms, such as the Executive Home form and the Salesperson Home form. Home forms display key data, required tasks, and other information to enable better decisions and faster actions related to daily tasks.
Improved UX to Meet Evolving User Preferences
Small to mid-sized manufacturing businesses that often struggle to attract and retain skilled employees will benefit from offering employees an easier-to-use system that reduces time spent on administrative work, improves overall efficiency, and reduces process cycle times, thereby improving the quality of each employee’s work life.
“User needs have evolved,” said Guide Technologies SyteLine Practice Director Michelle Rydman. “New users and younger employees have different expectations of what a system should look like. With the launch of the October release, Infor is meeting those needs and expectations.”
Improved Document Management and Process Intelligence Capabilities
The October release will also provide access to new capabilities via the Infor Document Management tool. Users can now generate documents such as purchase orders and invoices based on each customer’s preference. Documents can still be produced and shared in batches, and users now have the option to automatically generate individual documents based on criteria such as invoice number if that is what the customer prefers.
Stronger connectivity and support between the Infor Process Intelligence tool and CSI have also been enabled in the new release. This enhancement makes it easier for customers to explore, review, enhance, and model process flow data to see how well their business processes are flowing. Using this data, customers can more easily pinpoint areas for improvement.
Localization Improvements for France & Poland
Localization improvements for customers in France and Poland round out the October features release. Infor’s localization packs adapt the software for different languages, regional currencies, date and time formats, and other country-specific properties.
Upgrade Process Explained
Based on monthly maintenance schedules, SaaS customers will automatically receive the new update in October. Customers running SyteLine on-premises or using a third-party hosting provider must upgrade to SyteLine v10 before applying the update.
